6. Set general import preferences

Please specify whether you would generally prefer to take data from IATI or from the AIMS (you will only have to do this once for your projects). You can see some sample data below to help you decide. Later, you will be able to adjust the import settings for individual projects.

You can adjust whether data is taken from IATI or from the AIMS by clicking on the relevant data source for each field. Whichever side is marked as green will be used as the default preference for your projects.

WATER MANAGEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

Description

The objective of the Water Management Improvement Project (WMIP) for Bangladesh is to improve national water resources management by involving the local communities to play an expanded role in all stages of the participatory scheme cycle management. This restructuring seeks the approval of the Executive Directors to introduce the following changes to the project. The changes for the Project include a revised project development objective (PDO) and reallocation of funds across project components. These changes are to more accurately reflect the shift in project focus toward Flood Damage Rehabilitation (FDR) works that supported emergency repairs to the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) schemes damaged by the 2007 floods and the 2009 Cyclone Aila. The WMIP is currently a problem project. Overall implementation of the project has been significantly delayed in the almost four years following the World Bank Board approval in September 2007. Progress with the three original components (excluding the FDR works) has been minimal. Poor and slow implementation performance is due to a number of major factors. Mobilization of various support consultancies under the project was substantially delayed.

Description

WMIP aims to improve water resources management in Bangladesh by improving infrastructure and institutions through rehabilitating damaged water infrastructure, piloting the role of local communities, and enhancing the institutional performance of the principal water institutions, particularly the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) and the Water Resource Planning Organization (WARPO).

Commitments
USD 45,000
Disbursements
USD 43,000

NB: we may want to show some nice graph or something here to show the breakdown of transactions. Nothing too complicated though. Perhaps just a breakdown per year? But we can think about this later.

NB: in this sprint, we only have to get import working for titles and descriptions. But I wanted to add a couple more fields a) so you can see what we'll have to do later and b) in case you have spare time!

I would suggest that we set all fields to "IATI" by default (i.e. left side is green for all fields) but I set the description field to "AIMS" above just as a way of demonstrating that a user may want to make different choices.

7. Review and adjust import preferences

Your projects are listed below. We have highlighted those projects where the financial data is significantly different (5% or greater). You may wish to check those projects in some detail before proceeding – click the button next to a project to adjust the settings.

When you're happy, click the "Import projects" button at the bottom of the page to import data from IATI to the AIMS. Note that this action cannot be undone.

8. Project-specific adjustments

This should just look the same as step 6 (Set import preferences) but probably with the ability to scroll through projects, and set field-level import options for individual projects which may differ from the "general" preferences established in step 6.
